What is PhoneFinder?

PhoneFinder is a simple service that allows registered users to submit a mobile number and view the location of that phone on a map. It is particularly useful to people wanting to locate, or ensure an elderly family member or child has arrived at their destination safely.

What phone types are supported?

PhoneFinder works on all generations of phone types with internet. The locatee must be connected to the Internet and have activated the location parameter on their phone.

Do you have an app I can install?

You don't need an app for PhoneFinder. The site is fully accessible through a mobile browser, but if you want a shortcut to your account, simply click the browser menu button, and then select "Add to homescreen" (or similar option). This will create a "web app" for your phone for easy access to Phone Finder.

Will PhoneFinder work with any phone?

PhoneFinder will not work with landline numbers. It will only give the location of mobile phones registered to a UK mobile cell network. PhoneFinder does not require the user to install any apps or other software. PhoneFinder works cross-platform, which means it can work on Android, iPhone, and Windows Phone.

How accurate is Phone Finder?

Our service provides you with the exact location with upto 6m accuracy.

Will Phone Finder work if the third party's phone is switched off?

The third party's phone needs to be switched on for the tracker to work. However as soon as their phone is on, they will receive the message to locate their location.

Is it legal to locate a third party?

Phone Finder is fully legal and in compliance with the recommendations of the Information Commissioner's Office. Phone Finder will only work if the third party gives consent to locate their geo-location.

Is my information safe?

Your anonymity is important to us. The location of the third party gets send over a secure TLS (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol and is not visible to other people. Your personal information and identity are not shared with anyone.

How do I cancel the subscription?

Phone Finder is not a subscription service. Following the years access lapsing each user will need to re-register for the service.
